In Five Years by Rebecca Serle

Dannie has a life plan, and so far it’s working out well. She has a boyfriend; who she knows is about to propose, she’s a successful lawyer; about to be interviewed for her dream job that she knows she’s going to get, and she’s right on track for moving to her dream home. Everything is perfect.

That is until she has a dream. Well at least it must be a dream, but it feels so real. It’s five years in the future and she’s in a different apartment, with a different man and a different engagement ring on her finger.

Dannie starts an adventure to understand her own happiness and whether what she’s planned for her entire life is really what she wants. And who she wants in her life.

This was a definitely #bookstagram made me do it purchase as even when I started reading it I had no idea what it was about; I did a poll and everybody voted it for my next read. But it didn’t disappoint.

Honestly, it was so good. I really enjoyed it and have already recommended it to others. It’s pretty short (less than 300 pages) and so easy to read. It also gets straight into the story so there’s not loads of preamble. The characters are really likeable and you do start to question whether Dannie is going to turn out to be a bit of a b****. Good chick lit!
